Small Antique Eyeglasses 1910 Windsor

Antique eyeglasses frame 1900's Windsor Gold Filled Coil Arms Cable Ends Small Size 37-20-150 Soerabaja Malang Indonesia Dutch Colonial Eye Glasses

In great condition is this small gold filled Windsor eyeglasses frame with special case. It was made in appr. 1910.

The hinges are American style, so with flat temple arm tips, like Ray Ban aviators still have nowadays. There is a stamp in the nose bridge, an oval with a plus filled out in it. I have seen that stamp before, but can't remember from what company this was.

The model has a smooth Windsor nose bridge, and the lens holders have a dark celluloid covers. There are currently prescription lenses with a strong minus fitted in the frame, those can be replaced with your own prescription or sun lenses.

The condition is great, the gold shows no corrosion or dark spots.

Sizes:
Lens diameter: 37mm
Distance between lenses: 20mm
Total width: 105mm
Temple arms: 150mm when stretched, straight for 80mm

The case has a gold pressed stamp of J.H. Goldberg, Optische Industrie, Soerabaja - Weltevreden, Malang - Dkodjakarta. This company was active in Indonesia during the Dutch Colonial period. From the same company I traced other optical products such as a surveyor pocket compass.
